Yoti - helping find you the perfect boat

Elan 31 – Windfall – March 2018

David and Mary wanted to upgrade from a smaller more basic cruising yacht to something fun and competitive to race out of Port Hacking. They also wanted something capable of coastal hops and spending weekends on board. The Elan 31 was a great match – we had allot of fun both sailing and selling this great little cruiser / racer.

We’re loving the smaller cruiser / racer’s coming onto the market at the moment. There is big demand for these 30 odd foot, well built , well maintained production boats that more than meet the needs of often very experienced sailors who are buying them. Come along to the Club Marine Sail Pittwater Sail Expo and speak with teh team from Yoti about your needs.

 Here are just a few…

Test drive (sail) a RS200 dinghy!

PictureOne of the most popular and successful double handed racing dinghies of the modern era, the RS200 responds to finesse and dedication, rather than physique, to allow couples and young teams to share the action.

On the open sea or the smallest of lakes, the success of the RS200 is proof that it is by far one of the most popular boats sailed today. The RS200 has a huge following internationally and is raced passionately by hundreds of keen sailors making the competition an amazing experience.

The RS200 is the perfect sailing dinghy for small to medium weight crews. With an asymmetric spinnaker it provides excitement downwind and exhilarating performance whilst being manageable for a wide range of abilities.

Exciting performance, responsive handling and a fantastic fun make the RS200 a legendary double hander that everyone wants to sail.

Inspect the famous Yacht Australia at the Expo

Do you fancy owning an iconic slice of Australian sailing history? Australia is for sale and will be open for inspection.

America's Cup yacht ‘Australia’ an iconic piece of Australia's yachting folklore  will sail from MHYC next week for Sail Expo at the RPAYC in Pittwater where she will revive memories of one of Australia's greatest sporting triumphs.

KA 5 ‘Australia’ is a link with an era of pride for all Australians. She was built in 1976 and unsuccessfully challenged for the America's Cup at Rhode Island in 1977 and in 1980 with Sir James Hardy at the helm.  It was his port trimmer, John Bertrand who would go on to win the America's Cup in 1983 as skipper of Australia II. The revolutionary winged-keeled yacht broke a 132-year winning streak by American yachtsmen and forever changed the America’s Cup which is now dominated by multi-hulls.

Sailing Sabella - A lagoon 42 Adventure

Aaron and Lara Jones and their two daughters Luella (3) and Sabine (1) are about to begin the experience of a lifetime.

In January, they will travel to Les Sables d’Olonnes in France to pick up Sabella, their brand new Lagoon 42, to begin an open-ended live-aboard adventure. The European pick up is the perfect option for the family because they plan to skipper down to some favourite spots in the Mediterranean to start the trip.

The family talked to TMG about the boat and their plans, and their feelings of excitement and apprehension, as they work through the logistics of moving their lives on to the water.

Pittwater Sail Expo

The annual Club Marine Pittwater Sail Expo will be held over the weekend of 28th April and 29th April 2018 at The Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club and will feature exhibitors supplying goods and services to the professional and leisure sailor.
